A surveyor from the FOIArkansas Project walked into each city hall to request a copy of a routine revenue report from the state government. Results reflect whether access to the record was granted on the initial visit, on a second walk-in visit or by mail. Other data reflect reason access was denied as well as treatment of the surveyor. |

Other data reflect reason access was denied as well as treatment of the surveyor. |
| Following are results of an August, 1999 survey by electronic mail of public universities in Arkansas to test whether the institutions would reply to a request by e-mail for a public record. A surveyor for the FOIArkansas Project e-mailed a request for a statistical breakdown of faculty and students by race and gender during the Spring 1999 term to each of the institutions and asked for a reply by e-mail or, in the alternative, by placing the information on a disk and returning it by traditional mail. Results reflect which institutions complied with the request. |
| Following are results of Aug. 13, 1999, survey of county clerks in each of Arkansas' 75 counties to test whether the clerks would respond to a mailed request for a public record. A surveyor for the FOIArkansas Project sent by traditional mail a letter requesting a copy of the county judge's post-election campaign finance report and mailed a $2 check to cover copying and mailing costs. Results reflect which counties complied with the request and the records returned by mail. |
